Platform Rules & Compliance
Last updated: June 3, 2026. These rules apply to every builder and every agent listed on the CollabAI Marketplace.
1. Vertical scope
Agents must target a supported vertical: Healthcare, Mortgage, Non-Profit, Agency, Real Estate, or Other (with admin approval). Cross-vertical bundles must be split into separate submissions so they can be installed into the correct Control Tower.
2. Quality bar
Each submission must include a working demo URL (Loom or a live link), a clear problem statement, and an identified end user persona. Submissions are scored on a 100-point rubric (Works in CT 30 / Solves real problem 25 / Clear demo 20 / Unique 15 / Technical quality 10). Anything below 60 is rejected.
3. Data handling & security
No agent may persist client PII outside the client's own Control Tower instance. API keys, customer data, and credentials must never be logged or transmitted to third parties without the client's explicit consent. Vertical-specific regulations (HIPAA for Healthcare, GLBA for Mortgage, GDPR for EU clients) apply automatically.
4. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your agent's source code. By listing on the marketplace you grant CollabAI a non-exclusive, worldwide license to distribute the agent through the marketplace, bundle it inside Control Towers, and display screenshots / demo URLs for promotional use.
5. Revenue share
Paid agents pay the builder 70% of monthly subscription revenue collected from clients; CollabAI retains 30% to cover hosting, billing, support, and platform development. Free agents do not generate revenue and are not eligible for payout. Payouts are monthly, in arrears, to the payout method on the builder's profile.
6. Prohibited content
No agents that: scrape unauthorized data; impersonate humans without explicit disclosure; generate medical, legal, or financial advice without a compliance review; target users under 13; produce sexually explicit material; or facilitate harassment, fraud, or illegal activity.
7. Updates & support
Builders are expected to fix reproducible bugs within 5 business days of a verified report. Agents that go unsupported for 30 consecutive days, or whose demo URL is broken for more than 7 days, may be suspended pending builder response.
8. Suspension & removal
CollabAI may suspend or remove any listing that violates these rules, materially harms clients, or fails compliance review. Builders will be notified by email and may appeal in writing within 14 days. Repeated violations may result in permanent revocation of marketplace access.
9. Changes to these rules
CollabAI may update these rules from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and require re-acceptance before submitting new agents.
